Terms and Conditions of Use

Before using the service described on the Website, you must understand and agree with these Terms and Conditions of Use.

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions of Use:

“Designated Area” means the area that includes all suburbs and localities within what was known as the the Strathfield Council as at 01 October 2018.

“Oversized Collection” means a collection in which your items exceed 2 cubic metres.

“you” or “your” means any occupant of a residential property pursuant to a right of ownership or written tenancy agreement.

“your items” means the items you have placed for collection.

“Website” means the website located at the following website address:

Residence

  1. You must be a resident of a suburb or locality that is located within the Designated Area to use this service. 

Collection/Waste

  1. Each residential address is entitled to three collections per calendar year. If, during a calendar year, you move into a residence and wish to arrange a collection, you should notify us on (02) 9748 9999
  2. Your items must be placed in a location that is in a visible and non-hazardous.
  3. Your items must be specified as approved on the Website. Including any materials in your items that are not specified as approved may contravene legislation, including the Dangerous Goods (Road and Rail Transport) Act 2008, and you may be liable for prosecution and penalties.
  4. You must clearly label your items with your booking reference number. 
  5. You must tie any loose garden vegetation that is included in your items in neat bundles.
  6. Your items must not be placed for collection more than 24 hours prior to your collection date.
  7. You must place your items in the location specified on your booking e.g. Front of house, Side of house etc. 
  8. Your items must be placed in an orderly manner in the specified location.
  9. Your items must NOT exceed 2 cubic meters in size (unless you have specifically requested an Oversized Collection). 
  10. You must notify us if your items are an Oversized Collection by ticking the box on the form.
  11. If you fail to notify us that your items are an Oversized Collection your items may not be collected and you may not be entitled to any further collections in that calendar year. In addition, you may be penalised.

Making a Booking

  1. You can book a collection via our online booking system or by calling (02) 9748 9999.
  2. The information you provide must be current and true. 
  3. You are responsible for selecting a date that is suitable to you and for managing your booking if circumstances change.
  4. You can book up to 6 months in advance of the date of your booking.
  5. You can create a booking up until 24 hours prior to the collection date. 

Managing, editing, canceling a booking 

  1. If you need to edit the details of your booking you may do so via the ‘manage booking’ capability on the Website. 
  2. You can edit or cancel your booking up to 48 hours prior to collection. If you edit or cancel your booking after this time, it will be regarded as a standard collection and taken off your 3 annual bookings.
  3. You cannot cancel your collection on the day of collection.
